My work invoice template says this, I need to know how to fix this or I don't get paid.

I think you made template in Pages 5 not 09.
You can use pages 5.
You have tried to open a Pages 5.x file with a previous version of Pages, probably Pages '09.
Right click on the document and chose to open it with Pages 5.6.2 (orange icon) if you have it installed.
If you do not have Pages 5.6.2 installed, open the App Store and install it.

Thank you, the version 5.6.2 I found under Applications opened it with zero issues thank goodness
I wouldn't say zero issues, They will become apparent as you come to use Pages 5.6.2 more, with its enormous number of missing features and bugs.
